After slowly building up my letterpress print shop over the last few years, I finally carved out the time to finish up branding. Very excited to have launched Vice Versa Print Shop in 2014.
Vice Versa calls to mind the nature of working with reversed elements when relief printing. I wanted a logo that would print well at small sizes with one color letterpress and look the same when viewed upside down/right side up.
I had the pleasure of doing another cover for June 2013's What’s Up! Magazine. It's always fun working with Brent and the folks at What's Up!
I beat out the competition and landed the job of creating the logo and identity for my wife's midwifery practice. The goal was to create a friendly and modern identity that pays respect to one of the oldest professions while being accessible to the uninitiated. It just so happens that whales have the second longest gestational period of all mammals, they often have another whale assisting as a midwife of sorts and of course they have water births.

Old & New Project
I am happy to be a part of the 3rd round of the Old and New project, a collaborative design project based on Biblical passages, curated by my friend Jim LePage and Troy Deshano. My submission is for 1 Samuel 3 when Samuel hears the voice of the Lord in the temple.

Verse Of The Day
Various illustrations done for Logos Bible Software.
Kickstart That Knee
I put together a campaign to raise funds for my friends knee surgery. I made the initial campaign video with Studio 53's Paper app and followed that up with a series of short videos. Once we raised enough for the surgery, I worked with Jim LePage to design letterpressed drink coasters as campaign rewards. The 2-color coasters were hand-pressed 4 times and were only available to campaign contributors.

My grandpa was born when real men walked the street. He made stuff with their hands. He fixed stuff that needed fixing.
I build a letterpress and printed my own save-the-dates and wedding invites. I had no idea how much I would come to love printing. You can check out the homemade press in action here.
Various show posters from over the years.
